About

Clever Community is for curious people who enjoy making things with others, whether that means a shared craft table, a local creative group or a project that brings an idea into public view. We explore how people gather, shape work together and make room for different ways of taking part.

What we cover

Our subjects include shared making, creative spaces, group projects, community arts and the traditions that grow around them. We look at choices such as how a group begins, how a project is shaped and how people can contribute without needing to do everything the same way.

Who it is for

You might be organising a small gathering, joining a creative group, making something with neighbours or simply interested in how collaboration works. Clever Community is written for general readers, not as a substitute for specialist training or local requirements.

How we approach it

We favour clear explanations, useful questions and ideas readers can adapt to their own circumstances. We treat collaboration as a human activity with room for difference, revision and a bit of mess along the way.
